There's a point in the ground-floor living room where the ceiling lifts, the glass wall behind it all but disappears, and the room and the garden briefly read as one. It happens because of how the space was actually built, and it's the clearest sense of what this villa is going for.

This villa is one of just four detached villas making up a small development tucked into the Cortijo Blanco area of Marbella. Restaurants are a hundred metres away, San Pedro beach the same, and Puerto Banús is a short drive of about two kilometres. Three bedrooms are split across two levels, one on the ground floor and two upstairs, including the master suite with its own walk-in closet and bathroom. Bathrooms throughout, by Gunni & Trentino, lean toward the spa end of things, with underfloor heating carried into them as well.

Downstairs, the basement holds a games room, a separate recreation room, a home office, and garage space, while the roof terrace adds a private solarium with a jacuzzi and barbecue area. Outside, the plot runs to 888 square metres, with a 277 square metre garden and a 76 square metre pool, and a lift connects every floor.

Three bedrooms are split across two floors, so it suits a family that doesn't mind a staircase between them, but that's really the only adjustment to make here.
