Mallorca North-east
It is a quieter area as it is less touristically exploited and with less construction, perhaps because it is a little farther away from the city of Palma. Although it is easily accessible due to the good road communications.
We can find places such as Artá, Colonia de Sant Pere, Porto Cristo or Canyamel.
You can find luxury properties with a value that can reach 3/4 million euros or even more, although there are properties for all budgets.
This is the area for you if you are looking for a more secluded and reserved place to live. Good beaches, coves not too crowded, good restaurants, golf courses nearby,… Perhaps the only downside is the lack of international schools nearby.
Mallorca North
It is the furthest part of the island from the capital but road connections are good. And it’s less than an hour from the airport.
As far as properties are concerned, here again we can find a great variety. Especially the villas stand out for their spectacular views of the coast. Also in this area there is an abundance of rural style houses with strong stone constructions.

The main town is Pollença and Puerto de Pollença. It is an important tourist centre with good services. Nearby we find other villages such as Alcúdia or Formentor. There is a large international community living in the area.
Something to bear in mind is that in this part of the island the temperature is somewhat lower than in Palma and it is somewhat rainier.
Cala de San Vicenç is a spectacular cove with turquoise waters. On its coast there are also some luxury properties such as villas and apartments.
South East Mallorca
Expanding area. Just 30 minutes from Palma airport.
Some of the best known beaches in Mallorca are located here.

Santa María del Camí is a dynamic market town in the central part of Mallorca. Although it seems to be just another village with little interest, it attracts an important international colony of people from many countries.
